A load cell summing box (also knownas a J-box) accepts inputs frommultiple load cells and combinestheir outputs into one output thatrepresents the total load. All loadcells should have the same capacityand outputs within 3.2% of eachother. For larger variances, resistorsmust be added. Load cells that aretrimmed to 0.25% interchangeabilityor that have output tolerances ofless than ±3.2% will work withoutadditional resistors.
