Description

The OMG-ACB Series provides thePC-based system with single/dualhigh-speed synchronous/asynchronous links to instrumentsrequiring extremely fast data flow.The RS-422 communicationsstandard allows the OMG-ACBto communicate reliably at highspeeds under harsh conditions,which makes it an ideal solution forindustrial environments. Line noise,present in industrial environments,is eliminated over the RS-422 line.By utilizing RS-422, factoryapplications requiring long distancecommunications operate withhigh data integrity. Signals aretransmitted and received via25-pin sub-D connector(s). TheOMG-ACB-II is also capable ofRS-232 for applications requiringshorter distances and RS-232compatibility.

Balanced differential driversand receivers are utilized toprovide RS-422 and RS-485communications. Selectableinterrupts (IRQ levels) increasesthe card’s versatility. Distancesof 5000 ft in noisy industrialenvironments are easilyaccommodated with the OMG-ACB.
