The OM-ES-020 ethernet to serialdevice server is ideal for industrialapplications. Data transfer ratesup to 1,000,000 baud, coupledwith 1Mbit/s line drivers deliveruncompromising performance.The OM-ES-020 range providessimple instant networked serialports. A web interface allows secureconfiguration and control of theserial ports over a local network orthe internet using any browser.
For Windows® our 32- and 64-bitdriver gives you local COMports, retaining existing softwareapplications and allowing you toconnect across your network toremote devices just as if they wereattached locally. You can accessthe device via TCP/IP socketsfrom any networked device likean Android tablet, PC or phone.Serial port tunneling (individuallyconfigurable) allows serial cablereplacement over any distance, nosoftware required. On Windows OSTCP/IP sockets are handled by theWinsock API, this will differ on otherOSs. The OM-ES-020 can be wiredinto existing power and networkinfrastructure or it can be used witha separate power supply.
Windows UsersOur software drivers give you localCOM ports, allowing you to retainyour existing software applicationsand connect to your devices overthe network. COM Port can beassigned from COM1 to COM255and the OM-ES-020 ethernet toserial device remembers your COMPort assignment on reboots.
