XT Miniature Controls includes nonreversingcontactors, auxiliary contactsand mini overload relays. A wide rangeof applications is possible including smallelectrical motors from fractional to 5 hp(460 Vac) or up to 4 kW (400 Vac).Due to its compact size, the XT line of minicontrols is best suited to be applied in lightduty loads such as hoisting, packaging,material handling, heating, lighting andautomation systems. XT mini contactorsare a particularly compact, economic andenvironmentally friendly solution wherevercontrol of small motors or loads is required.Front mounted snap-on auxiliary contactsfor mini contactors are available with screwterminals in a variety of contactconfigurations. Auxiliary contact modulesare standard with interlocked opposingcontacts, except in the case of early makeor late-break contacts.The XTOM overload relays are three-poleelectromechanical motor circuit-breakersusing bimetallic elements. They are suitablefor monitoring both DC and AC currents.Type XTOM overload relays have beendesigned to be fitted directly on to XTMCcontactors. In the event of overloadtripping, the auxiliary contacts change overand disconnect the control voltage circuitfrom the corresponding contactor relay,and thus indirectly switch off the currentto the motor being monitored. The XTOMrelays are adjusted by means of a settingwheel to suit the motor current rating.
