Description

The trodeks®iSeries is a family ofmicroprocessor-based instrumentsoffered in three true DIN sizes withNEMA 4 (IP65) rated front bezels.All of the instruments share the sameset-up and configuration menu andmethod of operation, a tremendoustime saver for integration of a largesystem. The iSeries family includesextremely accurate digital panelmeters "DPi" and single loop PIDcontrollers "CNi" that are simple toconfigure and use, while providingtremendous versatility and a wealthof powerful features.

The DPi Series covers a broadselection of transducer andtransmitter inputs with 2 inputmodels.

The Universal temperature andprocess instrument (DPi models)handles 10 common types ofthermocouples, multiple RTDs andseveral process (DC) voltage andcurrent ranges. This model alsofeatures built-in excitation, 24 Vdc @25 mA. With its wide choice of signalinputs, this model is an excellentchoice for measuring or controllingtemperature with a thermocouple,RTD, or 4 to 20 mA transmitter.The strain and process instruments(DPiS models) measure inputs fromload cells, pressure transducers,and most any strain gage sensor aswell as process voltage and currentranges. The DPiS has built-in5 or 10 Vdc excitation for bridgetransducers, 5 Vdc @ 40 mA or10 Vdc @ 60 mA (any excitationvoltage between 5 and 24 Vdc isavailable by special order). ThisDPiS model supports 4- and 6-wirebridge communications, ratiometricmeasurements. The DPiS featuresfast and easy "in process" calibration/scaling of the signal inputs to anyengineering units. This model alsofeatures 10-point linearization whichallows the user to linearize the signalinput from extremely nonlineartransducers of all kinds.ProgrammableColor DisplayThe DPi Series are 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32 DINdigital panel meter featuring the bigiSeries color-changing display. Thedigits are twice the size of typical 1/8 DIN panel meters. The iSeriesmeters feature the only LED displaysthat can be programmed to changecolor betweenGREEN, AMBER, and RED. .Embedded internet and serialcommunications featuring optional"embedded Internet" (specify "-EIT"option) the iSeries are the firstinstruments of their kind that connectdirectly to an Ethernet network andtransmit data in standard TCP/IP packets, or even serve Webpages over a LAN or the Internet.The iSeries are also available withserial communications. With the "-C24" option, the user can selectfrom the pushbutton menu betweenRS232, RS422, and RS485, withstraightforward ASCII commands.
