Description
AC powered, DIN railmount, DC input signal splitter, with 1800 Vdc isolationbetween input, output and power. The DRI-SP-AC Series provides two fullyisolated DC output signals in proportion to one DCinput. The field configurable input and output featureoffers flexible, wide ranging capability for DC currentand voltage signals.
Using a pushbutton instead of potentiometers,improvements in calibration resolution and reliability arerealized due to the elimination of the potentiometers’mechanical variability. The thermal drift and mechanicalvariability of the potentiometers has been removed andreplaced with a digitally stable circuit. Additionally, theinherent zero and span interactivity of analog amplifiercircuitry is removed, providing 100% non-interactiveadjustment.
The DRI-SP-AC can be field configured for virtuallyany DC input to DC output within the limits specified.Calibration utilizes touch calibration technology wherethe user simply configures the input for the current orvoltage range via switches, then follows the calibrationprocedure. The output is set by adjusting the input untilthe desired output is present and then pressing theCAL button to store the output level.
The DRI-SP-AC has three diagnostic LEDs. The green(RUN) LED is used for diagnostics to indicate thatpower is on. It will flash quickly if the input signal isabove the calibrated range or slowly if the input signalis below range. It is on continuously when the unit isfunctioning within the calibrated range.
The DRI-SP-AC can be configured for input rangesfrom 10 mV to 100V or 1 mA to 100 mA, with >90%input offset or will adjust down to <10% of full scaleinput span (except on 20 mV/2 mA range wheremaximum offset or gain adjustment is 50%).
The factory default configuration for the DRI-SP-AC is:
