trodeks’s conductivity levelswitches offer a wide range ofcustomized options to meet anyapplication’s needs. They aredesigned to control the level of allconductive mediums, offering up to5 different points of level control.Models are available with fixed rigidrods, with removable rigid rods, orwith pendular electrodes attachedto the housing with cables. These switches suit applications involvingboth alarm point detection and on/offpump valve control. Installation iseasy and operation ismaintenance-free.
The probes work through thevariation of the electrical resistancebetween the reference electrode andthe level-control electrode.Conductivity level switches detectthe level resistance when theirelectrodes are covered by themedium.
An electrically conductive tank wallcan be used as the referenceelectrode. If the tank is made ofplastic, concrete, or any other nonconductivematerial, an additionalelectrode is required as a reference.
The LVCF switches canaccommodate up to five 316 SSfixed rods for 5 different levels ofcontrol. The rods are isolated with aTFE bushing and can be coated withECTFE/ETFE when the probe is used withaggressive or sticky media that causebuildup. The user can easily modifyoperating levels in the tank bycutting the length of the electrodes.The LVCF switches are rugged andcompact and have no moving parts.This makes them reliable forcontrolling conductive media as wellas for high-pressure applications.
LVCF models are compatible withLVCN-200 Series controllers only.
The LVCR models offer the samefeatures as the LVCF, plusremovable 316 SS threaded rodsthat make it possible to switch therods. Rods can be orderedseparately in longer length and canthen be custom cut. Removablerods make the system moreversatile, easier to handle, andmore forgiving if the rod’s length iscut incorrectly.
LVCR models are compatible withLVCN-200 Series controllers only.
Along with the same features as therigid rod probes, LVCP pendularprobes can accommodate up to5 model CLE-P electrodes. TheLVCP probes are ideal for deepmeasurements in wells or largetanks where long rods would beimpractical, but they work equallywell for shorter-length applications.The electrodes are suspended fromPVC cables that allow for longerlengths, as well as for differentapplications and installations. LVCPmodels are compatible withLVCN-200 controllers.
The electrode model CLE-P is thesimplest version of all conductivityprobes. A small polypropyleneenclosure houses a 316 SS rod thatis attached to a PVC cable. Thisoption eliminates the need for aprocess connection.
LVCN-200 Series conductive liquidon/off level controllers are used topower all level probes. The LVCN-200 models are electronicallycontrolled devices that open andclose an electrical contact to effectthe operation of other devices in thesame, or another, electrical circuit.
The LVCN-201/202 models cancontrol the differential of minimumand maximum level, with anadjustment for sensitivity. The relayhas 1 reverse SPDT contact.
The LVCN-203/204 models control2 independent levels and 2 reverseSPDT contacts. They also include asensitivity adjustment.
The LVCN-200 Series is designedso that multiple units can be used incombination to provide a variety ofcontrol functions, including multiplealarms and on/off control foralternating pumps.
Both models are available withDIN rail sockets or with screws.
