The LVCN6000/7000 Series is acapacitance switch ideal for low andhigh level detection for both liquidand solids. The LVCN6000/7000Series can also detect level withoutbeing in contact with the productthrough a sight glass. Unlike othercapacitance probes, theLVCN6000/7000 series can detectLVCN6000/7000any type of conductive, nonconductiveor low dielectricmaterials with extremely accurateperformance, almost completeimmunity from build up, temperaturechanges or condensation. Inapplications with plastic or concretetanks this series does not require anexternal reference.The sensor operates in a mannerthat is similar to a simple capacitor.A high frequency oscillator is locatedwithin the tip of the probe. When thetip of the probe comes in contactwith the medium, the frequency ofthe oscillation reaches a preset pointand the detection circuit signals theswitch to change state.The LVCN6000/7000 series is acompact switch that can be madewith many types of processconnections, such as threadedflange or sanitary. The LVCN6000/7000 series is made with rigid rodor cable and both can be suppliedin extended versions. The rigid rod ismade with a strong and durablepolyacethal plastic for standard unitsand is also available in PVC orPTFE. Probes are available in24 Vdc (LVCN7000) or 85 to 240 Vac(LVCN6000) powered versions.Note: These switches are not designed foruse with mediums with high dielectricssuch as mayonnaise or shampoo with highsalt content.
