Description
The FPU500 Series peristaltic pumps from trodeksoffer exceptional simplicity, ease of use, and variableflow capability. A motor turns the pump’s rollers, whichsqueeze fluid through precision-bore tubing in a wavelikemotion. The fluid does not come into contact withthe pump; only the outside wall of the tubing does. Thismakes these pumps ideal for use in sterile, corrosive,or general fluid flow operating environments.
The pump is self-priming and non-siphoning. Whenone section of the tube fatigues, simply move the tubealong to an unused section and continue pumping. Notools are required to load the tube. A precision-moldedtubing cavity provides the proper occlusion for therecommended tubing. A tube clamp holds the tubingsecurely in place. Tubing is easily changed withoutremoving the pump.
One pump can be used for many different applications,or you can mount two pumps onto the motor. Thepumps work with a wide variety of trodeksFLEX®plastic tubing. Vinyl, FKM, Tygon, silicone, Santoprene,and Norprene® tubing can be purchased in a broadrange of sizes. The standard rotor assembly is madeof stainless steel.
The FPU500 pump can be purchased with an optionaladaptor plate that can be used to mount the pump to amotor other than the FPU5-MT pump motor. Thepump comes standard with 2 short mounting screws,used to mount one pump at a time. If you need tostack two pumps, order long mounting screws.

The trodeksFLEXR FPU5-MT pump motor offersmicroprocessor control and a digital display, and isdesigned to be fully compatible with trodeks'sFPU500 pump. No mounting plate is needed, just twomounting screws. A 1⁄10 HP (75 W) motor provides flowrates of up to 2280 mL/minute. The user enters valuesand controls all operations through a convenientmembrane keypad. A dot matrix LCD provides for easy viewing. Calibrating the unit is easy with theuser-friendly control software. Simply select a tubingsize and the desired flow rate, and the pump motorlocks in the required RPM. Select nominal calibrationvalues stored in ROM (read only memory) or calibratevia gravimetric or flowmeter measurements. Fluidtemperature may be displayed (using an optionalthermocouple probe). The last flow settings are storedin memory when the drives are shut off.
