Description
The DPF140 Series of flowmeters are micro controller basedindicators with transmission andpulse outputs. These units aredesigned to compute and displayflow rate and total. The DPF143has one scaled pulse output andthe DPF144 has two. In additionto the scaled pulse output, bothmodels provide an alternativepulse pass-through output withgalvanic isolation. The DPF143 ispowered by an external DC powersource. The DPF144 is a “twowire”or “loop powered” device,meaning that it is powered by the4 to 20 mA loop circuit itself.
Pulse and 4 to 20 mA analogoutputs can be used to signalexternal devices, e.g. certainmetering pumps and watertreatment controls. Alternatively,one or more pulse outputs canbe configured as alarm outputs.These flow meters can bepassword protected to preventresetting the total or changingconfiguration settings.
The DPF140 Series meters areavailable in wall or panel mountconfigurations. Wall mountedversions can be converted fromwall to meter mount with anadaptor plate. Check with trodeksfor compatible meters. Orderthe DPF144 only if a 4 to 20 mAoutput signal is a requirement,otherwise the DPF143 offers themost flexibility.
