Description
The CDTX-45T toroidal conductivity system is designed foronline monitoring of chemically aggressive process solutions,water applications that coat or foul traditional sensors, andplating bath operations in which high current densities arepresent. The sensor consists of 2 metallic ribbon coils that arefixed in place by the sensor jacket material. The drive coil isused to induce a current in the process solution. The secondsensing coil is used to measure the current in the processsolution; the magnitude of this current is proportional to theconductivity of the process solution. Toroidal sensor is available in Norylto ensure that sensor-wetted materials are chemically resistant to processchemicals. The sensor material is non-conductive, therebyisolating the sensor from electrical noise and ground loops thatcan influence the integrity of the measurement. This materialalso makes the sensor resistant to electrode coating, sincemost substances do not adhere to the sensor material.Sensor can be submersion mounted for easy installation inopen tanks or pipe mounted in the optional 2" tee fitting, whichis keyed to the sensor for proper alignment. Tee fitting materialis polypropylene. For larger pipe diameters,the sensor can be insertion mounted through a 1 1/2 NPT ballvalve for easy retraction. The CDTX-45TC is the concentrationmonitor. The monitor comes with concentration/temperaturetables for sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, hydrochloricacid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid.
