The OM-DAQPRO-5300 is aneight-channel portable dataacquisition and logging systemwith graphic display and built-inanalysis functions.The dataloggeris powered by an internalrechargeable battery and is capableof sampling,processing anddisplaying measurements withoutbeing connected to a computer.The OM-DAQPRO-5300 is aprofessional,cost-effective,compact and stand-alone datalogging system that can be usedwith a wide variety of applications.This 16-bit, high-resolution, eight-channel datalogger has graphicdisplays and analysis functions formeasuring voltage,current andtemperature in real-time. With itshigh resolution and fast analogto digital converter (ADC), the OM-DAQPRO-5300 meets the majorityof data logging requirements inmost industrial applications. Itsunique ability to display measuredvalues and analyze them in real-time on a graphical interfaceminimizes the need to downloadcollected data to acomputer for furtheranalysis. EveryOM-DAQPRO-5300datalogger is embeddedwith a unique serial numberand can be loaded with adescriptive comment for safeidentification.
The datalogger is very easy touse because all its functionsare broken down into an 8-iconmenu.The four buttons on thedatalogger ’s front keypad can beused to browse every menu andexecute any of the commands.
Inputs
The OM-DAQPRO-5300 has eightinput channels for measuringvoltage, current, temperature andpulses. User selectable input types/ranges are 0 to 24 mA, 0 to 50 mV,0 to 10 V, 2252 Ω or 10 K Ωthermistors, PT100 RTDs, type J, Kor T thermocouple temperaturesensors, internal temperature, pulsecounter, frequency meter and up to20 user defined sensors (used forscaling analog voltage or currentinputs in engineering units).
The OM-DAQPRO-5300 can recorddata from up to eight 2-wire or four3-wire PT100 RTD inputs (two inputchannels are required for each3-wire PT100 RTD inputconnected).Frequency/pulsecounter is only available for input 1.
The datalogger provides a simpleand straight forward tool for definingup to 20 custom sensors. Almostany 0 to 10 V and 4 to 20 mAsensor or transducer can bedisplayed and scaled in meaningfulengineering units, e.g., psi or gpm.The sensor definitions are stored inthe datalogger ’s memory and areadded to the sensors list. Thesensor ’s readings are displayed inthe user-defined units both on theOM-DAQPRO-5300 ’s LCD screenand the Windows software.
The inputs use pluggable screwterminal blocks for easy connection.An internal clock and calendarkeeps track of the date and time ofevery sample measured.
Outputs
The OM-DAQPRO-5300 canautomatically activate an externalalarm device, e.g., energize anaudible alarm or turn on a warninglight,when an input channel isoutside a specified range(Input/Output 8 serves as either aninput or an alarm output). Theexternal alarm device (audible orvisual alarm) is connected to thescrew terminals of Input/Output 8.The alarm output is an opencollector output which is analogousto an electrical switch. High/lowalarm levels and also whether or notthe alarm output is activated duringan out-of limit condition can be setfor each input channel individually.
DAQLAB Windows SoftwareThe OM-DAQPRO-5300 systemalso comes with DAQLAB, a powerfulWindows software. When thedatalogger is connected to a PC,live displays can be viewed at ratesof up to 100 samples/sec, andautomatic downloads can be carriedout at higher rates.
The software can display the datain graphs, tables or meters, cananalyze data with variousmathematical tools, or export datato a spreadsheet. The WindowsSoftware also enables you to set upthe datalogger and to sendadvanced commands such as alarmsettings, triggering conditions andtext notes.
