Description
Each OMB-DBK15 multiplexing inputcard provides sixteen channels ofcurrent or voltage input to trodeks’sOMB-LOGBOOK and OMB-DAQBOARD-2000 Series data acquisitionsystems. An OMB-LOGBOOK and OMB-DAQBOARD-2000 Seriescan accept up to 16 OMB-DBK15cards, for a total of 256 potentialanalog input channels per system.
The OMB-DBK15 features a16-channel multiplexer and aprogrammable gain input amplifier.Its durable component socketsaccept resistors that configure eachchannel for either current-to-voltageconversion or for voltage attenuation.The OMB-DBK15 is supplied withsixteen precision 250 ohm resistorsfor making 4 to 20 mA measurements,and sixteen sets of 6:1 voltagedividers for accommodating up to±30 V* inputs.
(* ±10 V to 30 V input signals can bemeasured by installing attenuationresistors on the card)
The OMB-DBK15 can also acceptother, user-supplied resistor values,facilitating user-selectable current-to-voltage conversion or voltageattenuation factors.
When employed without resistors,the OMB-DBK15 provides sixteendifferential voltage inputs, whichaccommodate ±5 V full scale inputs.The OMB-DBK15’s input amplifier issoftware programmable for x1 or x2gain per channel, and for unipolar 0to +10 V or bipolar -5 to +5 V inputper channel.
Voltage Measurements. TheOMB-DBK15 accommodates voltagemeasurements beyond the standard10 V range, accepting voltage dividerresistors for up to ±30* VFS inputs.You can obtain any combination ofinput ranges by simply installing theappropriate resistor combination onthe OMB-DBK15 card. The card’son-board programmable gaininstrumentation amplifier (PGIA)can be set for a ±5 V output span ora 0 to +10 V output span, allowingusers to set the OMB-LOGBOOKor OMB-DAQBOARD-2000 Series foreither configuration.
Current Measurements.The OMB-DBK15 is ideal foraccommodating transducers with4 to 20 mA output; one need onlyinstall the 250 ohm resistors providedin the appropriate location on theboard.
