The 4-channel OMB-DBK2voltage-output card providestrodeks’s OMB-DAQBOARD-2000Series data acquisition systems withthe ability to generate precisebipolar analog voltage outputs.The OMB-DBK2's outputs can beprogrammed with a static valuewhenever the data acquisitionsystem is not transferring A/D data.
The card is particularly usefulfor applications that requireprogram-mable voltage sourcesor the control of devices such asprogrammable power supplies andprocess controllers. Up to 64 OMB-DBK2 cards can beattached to one OMB-DAQBOARD-2000Series card, for a total of 256 outputs.
Card Architecture
The OMB-DBK2 features a quad14-bit D/A converter that permits|it to generate up to a ±5 V or ±10 Vvoltage. Voltage ranges are jumperselectable per channel. The card isalso equipped with an on-boardbipolar reference to ensure accurateand stable output voltages.
Applications
The OMB-DBK2’s precise voltageoutput makes it especially usefulfor applications that requireprogrammable voltage sourcesor test-signal generation.
It is also ideal for applications thatdevices such as programmablepower supplies, proportionalactuators, analog indicators,and process controllers.
