Description
The 30.5 mm selector switches features a zincdie cast construction with chrome-platedhousing and mounting nut.
The contact blocks feature enclosedsilver contacts with pointed "reliabilitynibs" for reliable performance from logiclevel up to 600V. To ensure reliableswitching, nibs bite through oxide whichcan form on silver contacts, eliminatingthe need for expensive logic level blocksfor most applications.
Reliability nibs improve performance indry circuit, corrosive, fine dust and othercontaminated atmospheres.
Under normal environmental conditions, theminimum operational voltage is 5V and theminimum operational current is 1 mA,AC/DC. For operation under a wider range ofenvironmental conditions, logic level contactblocks with inert palladium tipped contactsare recommended.
10250T-SS Series operators have groundingnibs–4 metal points on the operatorcasting designed to bite through most paintsand other coatings on metal panels toenhance the ground connection when theoperator is securely tightened.
trodeks’s selector switch operators offer front ofpanel drainage via holes in the operatorbushing. Hidden from view by the mountingnut, these holes prevent buildup of liquidinside the operator, which can preventoperation in freezing environments. Theholes also provide a route for escaping liquid in high pressure washdowns, effectivelyrelieving pressure from the internaldiaphragm seal. This ensures reliable sealingin applications even beyond NEMA 4.
