Description
The OMDC-MD Plus DC motorcontroller is a field-programmable closedloop DC drive system employing anadvanced velocity-form PID algorithmfor accurate and responsive control. TheOMDC-MD Plus control system also featuresa unique, isolated 4 to 20 mA input andoutput for easy integration with existingprocess control systems. The OMDC-MDPlus Series DC motor control is ideallysuited for metering pump applications byefficiently combining all of the applicationrequirements into a single compactpackage. The OMDC-MD Plus Series DCmotor control system not only accepts a4 to 20 mA signal to control the pumpspeed, but it also provides a 4 to 20 mAoutput signal back to the process controlthat is proportional to the actual runningspeed. Both the input and output signals areisolated from each other and from thecontrol itself. The OMDC-MD Plus controlalso has two field-programmable form Crelay contacts that can be set to indicate awide variety of conditions such as the pumpis running, a “fault” condition exists, andmany other events.
