This compact heater is designed for manydifferent applications including electrical andelectronic enclosures, display panels, accessand parking control systems and personnelbooths.
To determine the required heater size followthis equation:
PH = (A x ΔT x k) - Pv
PH = Required heating power for yourapplication in Watts (W)
Pv = Heating power generated byexisting components (e.g. a transformer) inWatts (W)
A = Exposed enclosure surface area squaremeters (m2)
ΔT = Temperature differential between thedesired minimum interior temperature andlowest possible external temperature of theenclosure in Kelvin (K), 1.8°F = 1°C = 1K
k = Heat transmission coefficient of theenclosure material used:
Stainless Steel: 3.7 W/m2K
Painted Steel: 5.5 W/m2K
Aluminum: 12 W/m2K
Polyester/Plastic: 3.5 W/m2K
For outdoor applications it is recommendedto double the heating power.
