Description
Description
The TX69 is a digital, PCprogrammable, galvanic isolatedtwo-wire smart transmitter, thatconverts 13 types of thermocouplesensors; 12 types of RTD sensors, configured as 2, 3 and 4 wires;potentiometer, resistor and millivoltinputs, single or differential.intoprocess current loop.
A 3 1/2 digit LED display is integratedforming a transmitter/field monitorunit which is visible in darkinstallations. A 24 bit A/D converteris the heart of the outstandingperformance. The light intensityvaries as a function of the currentloop, which serves as the lightenergy source.
The transmitter can be set andwired to perform differentialmeasurement conversions oftemperature sensors as well asmV sources.
The output current is temperaturelinearized and can be set to be 4 to20/20 to 4 mA.or any range withinthese limits. The current is limited to3.6 and 22 mA. The TX69 samplesand updates the output current in arate of 2 to 4 samples per seconddepending on the sensor type.It is fully configurable indry-configurationTM mode by whichthe connection to PC is performedwith no voltage needed, and theconfiguration parameters are storedin a non-volatile memory.
Exceptional digital accuracy oftypical ±0.1°C is provided for mostsensors regardless of the calibratedspan. Extremely accurate coldjunctiontemperature measurement provides precise compensation throughout the entire ambient range.Detection of sensor breakage ordisconnection of input leads, forcesthe output to a pre-defined up/downscale value. The unit continuouslymonitors the sensor andautomatically returns to normaloperation mode when the sensor isrecovered.
The TX69 is housed in Aluminum enclosure, and thefront panel has a special red filterfor optimal view.
